Mission ~ Vision Statement

The North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services envisions a future in which:

The Family Caregiver Support Program administered by the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services and the Area Agencies on Aging, working with many partners, will create a family-centered system of support responsive to the needs of caregivers. Family caregivers, who include adult family members or other individuals acting as informal care providers, will be recognized as the core of this system that will support both formal and informal services, and put families at the forefront of the local planning process for long term care. Supportive services will include counseling, training, respite, and other forms of relief and assistance that enable caregivers to continue their efforts. Through collaboration of the business, faith and health and human service communities, families will have access to information and support across all community settings.
