Trade Practices Alert

Bereaved Families; Exodus Collection Services

The Better Business Bureau of Delaware (BBB) advises that an entity by the name of Exodus Collection Services has been mailing "Allient Visa Card" invoices throughout the U.S. to families that have experienced a recent death. There are concerns about the legitimacy of the invoices. The invoices range from $138 to $700, according to the BBB. They state further that the Delaware address used by Exodus Collection Services is a mail drop and that as of early this month the company had not been incorporated there.

The BBB is assisting other entities in their investigations of the company. Persons receiving unexpected invoices from Exodus Collection Services concerning such credit card charges or fees are invited to forward photocopies of the invoices, plus copies of the outer envelopes in which they arrived, to the Better Business Bureau of Delaware, 1415 Foulk Road, Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19803. Originals should not be sent.
