Intergenerational Programs

Alzheimers Patients and Day Care ChildrenIncreasingly, people are seeing the importance of initiatives to enhance relationships among generations.

See Grandparenting and the Senior Education Corps, for two such state efforts.

Two other examples of the growing interest in intergenerational relations and programs is Generations Together -- an intergenerational studies program in the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Social and Urban Research and Intergenerational Connections of the National Network for Family Resiliency.

Contact Donna White at the Division with questions concerning the state's intergenerational efforts or with news about any such activities.
