Division of Health Service Regulation

Effective July 5, 2007, the Division of Facility Services was renamed the Division of Health Service Regulation.		The Division of Health Service Regulation oversees medical, mental health and group care homes, emergency medical services, and local jails. We check to see that people receiving care in these facilities are safe and receive appropriate care. We make certain that medical buildings are built only when there is a need for them.
Notice: The Adult Care Licensure Section and the Mental Health Licensure and Certification Section have moved their Raleigh offices. Both sections are in the Broughton Building, 805 Biggs Drive, Dorothea Dix Hospital Campus, Raleigh, NC 27603.
