General Information

This unit of the Construction Section conducts semiannual inspections of county, municipal and regional jails to monitor compliance with state rules and statutes for jail operation. Also, the unit provides technical assistance to local governmental entities

The state rules for jails and detention centers is 10A NCAC 14J.
