Recommended Need Determinations
These are the draft need determination tables from the recommended 2012 State Medical Facilities Plan (SMFP). They have not received the Governor's final approval. The data and the dates reflected in the tables may be subject to change in the final SMFP. The Planning Branch provides no assurances or representations as to its accuracy, and any user of the data assumes the risk of errors or inaccuracy.

Services or Equipment Showing No Additional Need for Review during 2012
The 2012 SMFP has determined that there is no additional need for the following services or equipment and no reviews are scheduled:

- Open-Heart Surgery Services
- Bone Marrow Transplantation Services
- Solid Organ Transplantation Services
- Chapter 9
- Lithotripters
- Gamma Knife
- Linear Accelerators
- Positron Emission Tomography Scanners - Fixed or Mobile
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scanners - Fixed or Mobile
- Cardiac Catheterization Equipment - Fixed, Shared Fixed, or Mobile
- Chapter 13: Hospice Home Care Offices
- Chapter 17: Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded Beds
Chapter 3: Certificate of Need Review Categories and Schedule
For services and equipment which are not included in the tables or the list of topics for which there is no need, individuals should reference the general Certificate of Need Review Categories and Schedule found in Chapter 3 of the 2012 SMFP. Chapter 3 is being provided for information purposes only and, as is true with the remainder of the 2012 SMFP, it should be considered draft at this time and remains subject to change until the 2012 SMFP is approved by the Governor.
