The Mental Health Licensure and Certification section offers a 3 hour session to help direct and inform those who wish to know more about starting a facility offering the services that fall under the Mental Health Licensure (MHL) rules. The purpose of the class is to provide a general overview of the North Carolina mental health system and to review the requirements for licensure. During the orientation a MHL surveyor will discuss all areas needed to open a new facility. Below is a list of items that will be discussed during the orientation. It is strongly recommended that you view the items below and bring a printed copy of the documents with you to the orientation.
You can choose to attend the Raleigh or Gastonia location, however room capacity is limited and a reservation is required.
Raleigh Location
