Resources
- The DHSR Mental Health Licensure and Certification Section (MHLC) Procedures for Rule Enforcement (PRE) Manual (PDF, 124 KB) includes detailed written instructions for our MHLC surveyors regarding how to consistently enforce administrative rules. These instructions have been rigorously reviewed to ensure that (a) our surveyors are not adding to or subtracting from the content of the rule, and (b) all of our surveyors are consistent in how they interpret and enforce the rule. These instructions are necessary because some rules are ambiguous and difficult to understand.
- The N.C. Provider Penalty Tracking Database contains providers, pursuant to N.C. G.S. 122C-23, who have violations that resulted in sanctions against enrolling in a new service or licensing a new facility for a given period of time.
- The Developmental Disabilities Training Institute (DDTI) of the Jordan Institute for Families with the School of Social Work, UNC at Chapel Hill, is recognized for providing consultation, technical assistance and training. DDTI works with organizations in developing customized curriculum and providing training for staff in addressing DHSR regulations, and in response to violations and penalties.
