This web site provides an index of computer databases for the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. Its purpose is to strengthen the public's ability to access all public records, in accordance with the N.C. Public Records Law (General Statute 132)
 
The DHHS Index of Computer Databases is designed for easy access to information, including three ways to locate a database index entry:

The Index of Division Name lists the databases grouped by divisions within the department. Titles are listed in alphabetical order by division.

The System Name index lists database titles according to their DHHS system name. Both the system name and its respective database titles are listed in alphabetical order. Please note: If a database is not associated with a system, then it is not listed here.

The Keyword Index provides a listing of database titles according to keywords. For example, database entries that include the words "rest homes" would be listed together under rest homes. Both the keyword and its respective database titles are listed in alphabetical order. Every database has at least one keyword.
