Caring for an infant is a big responsibility. Taking a newborn baby home can be daunting to new parents. Newborn Home Visit Services help you by offering health, social support, and educational services. A registered nurse will come to your home to counsel you on your baby’s health and care; follow up on newborn screening; and arrange for additional appointments for the infant.
Visits are encouraged within seven to ten days following discharge from the hospital, but no later than 60 days after delivery.
All newborns are eligible for this service.
