The Budget Office is responsible for administering a 1.3 billion budget for Public Assistance and Social Service Programs through out the State of North Carolina. In this role the office is responsible for all financial and operational activities as well as administrative functions and contract related activities.
The budget office is in constant contact with local Departments of Social Services directors and financial officers providing them both financial and technical advice.
The budget office provides support with the assistance of 8 Local Business Liasons. Each liason is responsible for assisting in providing local support to 12 to 13 counties each.
