Answer: Medicaid is a publicly funded program that pays covered medical and health care costs of low income or disabled persons who qualify.

Question: What programs are available for working parents who cannot afford health insurance for their children?
Answer: Health Check and NC Health Choice for Children are publicly funded programs that help working parents provide health insurance for their children at either low or no cost.
