DHHS has
concluded a pilot project that was used to:
- Develop and validate competencies that are important
for successful DDS Specialists.
- Each employee completed a survey to verify
the most critical competencies for the Specialist positions.
- Create applicant interview guides that use questions
directly related to these validated competencies.
As part of the pilot, Human Resource staff also
worked with management and employees to pilot the process of defining
and validating competencies at three levels:
- Contributing (entry level)
- Journey (experienced)
- Advanced (expert)
The results of the pilot are summarized
in a report linked in the project documents section below. This report
provides a summary of the pilot project involving many dedicated
people and many hours of work. The DHHS HR team thanks the DDS Senior
Management Team for providing the opportunity to use their
organization as a learning environment. The report provides a summary
of the process and results as well as recommendations for next steps.
