Apologies go a long way towards Restoring good will.


If you mess up sometime and offend someone (even if you meant no harm), try an apology as your first response. If you feel that you were totally not out of line in your comments or behavior, at least apologize for upsetting the person.

Follow a new rule of behavior because the old one doesn't always work! If you treat people the way you would like to be treated, you can sometimes get in trouble. You might think certain forms of humor are completely acceptable, while others may not, for example.

So, here's a new rule of behavior to help prevent harassment:


        


	

Treat others as they would have you treat them.


In other words, think about the way others may want to be treated rather than just the way you like to be treated.
