Here are the steps:
| 1 | Collect and preserve evidence. |
| 2 | Discuss the matter with the harasser. |
| 3 | Discuss with your supervisor or a Human Resources representative. |
| 4 | File a departmental grievance. |
| 5 | File a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). |
These steps are basically the same whether you are faced with general discrimination-related harassment or sexual harassment. In a few of the steps, there are some differences, so we'll point out where these differences exist.
