Here are the steps:



  
	
1 Collect and preserve evidence.
2 Discuss the matter with the harasser.
3 Discuss with your supervisor or a Human Resources representative.
4 File a departmental grievance.
5 File a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

These steps are basically the same whether you are faced with general discrimination-related harassment or sexual harassment. In a few of the steps, there are some differences, so we'll point out where these differences exist.
