Education Staff Pay Information
Note: The following pay information
applies to teachers, educational administrators and support
staff who work 10 or 11 months per year in
DHHS schools and institutions.
115C Educators
Educators who work 10 or 11 months per year are paid
over 12 months. This means that their annual salaries
are divided by 12 and then prorated in equal amounts
so that their pay is constant through the summer months.
"Balance of Contract" Pay for Educators
Who Start any Time Other than August
If an educator starts work later in the school year
with the standard 10 or 11 month contract, the pay
is still distributed in equal monthly amounts with "balance
of contract" pay given in June (for 11-month educators)
or July (for 10-month educators).
10 or 11 Month Support Staff
Staff (not 115C educators) who work in the schools
for the school year (10 or 11 months) are not paid
during the summer months when they are not working.
Their annual pay is prorated over the 10 or 11 month
period that they actually work.
