Optional Notetaking with Reporter's Notebook
If
you are a "note-taker" this reporter's notebook is for you! You may be the
kind of person who always take notes in class, uses notes as memory-joggers,
or find that writing things down helps you learn.
Or, if you are someone
who generally doesn't take notes and would
prefer to skip the actual notetaking, you can skip the
notebook and go right to the Research Library.
It's
up to you. If you decide to take notes, follow
the instructions below to either print out or open the notebook on your computer,
so that
you'll
have
the questions in front of you before you go forward to the
"Research Library".
If you decide to skip the notetaking in the
Reporter's Notebook, skip the next section and Go
Directly to Research Library.
Instructions for Using Your Reporter's Notebook
Print Method: You may print out your reporter's notebook and jot down notes as you do your research in the "Research Library" online.
To print, go to the Print Version Notebook using the link at the bottom of this screen, then click on "File" and then "Print" in the upper left corner of the notebook window. After printing the notebook, you'll find a link on that page to go to the Research Library.
Two Window Method: If you would like to have your notebook questions open in one window on your computer screen and the Research Library open in another, you may use a second window.
To use two windows, go to the On-screen Notebook
first using the link at the bottom of this screen. Then resize and move the notebook window
to the left one-third of your screen. Finally, open up a second window to fill the rest of your screen. In the second window, you can open the "Research Library"
to look up the answers to the questions in the notebook. See
instructions if you want to try the two-window method but don't know how to open and use a second window.
