Medical Records: How to Obtain Them

Gaining access to medical records can sometimes seem like a difficult task. If you have received treatment through a Local Management Entity (LME), then there are a few simple steps to follow to get your records.

Each LME has a person who is in charge of medical records requests and questions. This individual can help you get records from the LME and any provider which is in their service area. This individual will also be able to help you if the provider is no longer in business.
