Joint Commission Completes Umstead Survey

BUTNER – A surprise inspection by the Joint Commission at John Umstead Hospital has been completed. According to Umstead Hospital Director Steve Oxley, while they must await official written notification, verbal feedback from the inspection survey at the exit interview indicated that the hospital’s accreditation is not in any danger. The survey lasted from May 28-29.

The Joint Commission is a nationally recognized accrediting agency that certifies and inspects more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States.
