Public review and comment on Infant Toddler Program’s  proposed assistive technology policy

The North Carolina Division of Public Health, Early Intervention Branch announces that its Infant Toddler Program’s proposed assistive technology (AT) policy is available for public review, as required by law, at www.ncei.org. The public comment period on the proposed policy change is January 28 to February 28, 2010.

AT is one of the Program’s 19 required services that must be made available to children who have AT identified as a need on the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).  The proposed policy outlines that AT be made available primarily through a loaning process.

The public may view the current AT policy on the agency’s web site at www.ncei.org.
