Raleigh, N.C. - Anthony Vellucci, Program Director for NC FAST (NC Families Accessing Services through Technology), will leave DHHS March 7 to join EngagePoint, a private healthcare software and IT services firm based in Maryland. Vellucci, who has led the NC FAST implementation team since 2010, will be working with government agencies at the federal, state and local levels throughout the U.S. to address challenges of healthcare reform and system modernization.

"Anthony has been instrumental in leading the conversion of 19 social services legacy programs into a single, streamlined system. He truly turned a vision into reality," said Joe Cooper, DHHS Chief Information Officer. "His unwavering dedication to this complex and far-reaching initiative will ensure that North Carolinians are better served by DHHS and county social services for years to come. Anthony's passion, outstanding work ethic and expertise will be missed."

Angela Taylor will serve as the Acting Program Director in addition to her current duties as DHHS Deputy Director of NC FAST. After leading several large DHHS IT implementations, Taylor joined the NC FAST team in August 2013, working closely with Vellucci and the business team to support county implementation and communication.

"Angela has been an invaluable partner to Anthony for the past several months," Cooper added. "I am confident that her strong leadership will ensure the success of NC FAST."
