About the Security Office
The DHHS Security Office supports the business functions of the Department of Health and Human Services by providing the Department and its divisions/offices with security services and guidelines in the following areas:
- Policy and planning
- Consulting, monitoring, and testing
- Incident management, response and investigation
- Information systems review and assessment
- Risk management and business impact analysis
- Security Training and awareness
- Project review security, BCP and privacy
- Ensure compliance on administrative, technical and physical safeguards related to the HIPAA security rule
