COVID-19: Travel

North Carolina is under a Stay at Home order that directs people to stay at home except to visit essential businesses, to exercise outdoors or to help a family member.

Here are some important facts about traveling in North Carolina:

  • All North Carolina borders are open. Some North Carolina counties have imposed entry restrictions or curfews. Check specific county websites for more information.
  • The N.C. State Highway Patrol is not conducting traffic stops for the purpose of determining if a person is engaging in essential travel or is a North Carolina resident.
  • There is no national quarantine.
