COVID-19: Travel

People at higher risk for severe illness should stay at home to the extent possible to decrease the chance of infection. Others are urged to reconsider or postpone non-essential travel as crowded travel settings may increase your risk of exposure to COVID-19. If you do decide to travel, practice precautions.

Cases of COVID-19 have been reported in many states, and some areas are experiencing community spread of the disease. Crowded travel settings, like airports, may increase your risk of exposure to COVID-19 if there are other travelers with COVID-19. The CDC urges residents of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to refrain from non-essential domestic travel for 14 days effective immediately.

The CDC has information about coronavirus and travel in the United States.
