Child Welfare Listening Session - June 20, 2018

The NC Department of Health and Human Services' (DHHS) Division of Social Services is seeking public input into how child welfare services can be improved. A listening session will be held June 20 at James Sprunt Community College.

While comments will be accepted on any area relevant to child welfare, DHHS is particularly interested in hearing ideas for:

• Improving safety, permanency and well-being outcomes
• Services for high-risk populations (i.e. children aged 0-5, foster youth aged 18-21, LGBTQ population, runaway youth, pregnant foster youth)
• Post-adoption services

Public input is vital to understanding what is working and what can be done differently. The session will be held on Wednesday, June 20, from 4-6 p.m. at James Sprunt Community College, 133 James Sprunt Drive, Kenansville.

Input can also be provided via:
