Pregnancy Services

Pregnancy Services give individuals needed help and support in solving medical, social, educational, and psychological problems associated with unplanned pregnancies.

The State Maternity Home Fund pays for care and related medical services for any North Carolina resident expectant mother who is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. This fund provides payment of residential care and services.

The State Maternity Home Fund applicant must:

  • Currently live in North Carolina
  • Be an expectant mother who is unable to remain in her own homes during the prenatal period
  • Be an expectant mother who is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy
  • Have inadequate financial resources to meet the residential costs in an approved living arrangement as determined by a social worker

If you or someone you know requires this service, please contact your local Department of Social Services or a licensed North Carolina adoption agency.
