New Features Available on the DHHS Website

July 10, 2019 – Two new features have been enabled on www.ncdhhs.gov that help DHHS improve communication with the people we serve.

Working in collaboration with the NC Department of Information Technology, Google Translate is now available to use on www.ncdhhs.gov.

The feature can be used on a web browser from a person’s computer and allows for content on the website to be translated into 17 languages.

The automated translations should not be considered exact and are not a substitute for official translations. Users of the website seeking information about DHHS programs and services may always request formal assistance with interpreting or translation from the Department at no cost. The automated translation through Google Translate is meant to provide quick assistance to users of the website.

Separately, the Employee Directory on the NCDHHS site can now be sorted by division or facility. Located at the bottom of the NCDHHS homepage, this can help the public find the right person to connect with. It also provides divisions with their own directory for internal use.
