2019 SECC Statewide Kickoff on Aug. 2

Author: Lindsay K. Saunders

July 19, 2019 – The State Employees Combined Campaign, more commonly referred to as the SECC, is holding its kickoff event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 2 at Bicentennial Mall in downtown Raleigh.

During the 2018 campaign, DHHS employees raised nearly $313,000, despite two hurricanes creating hardship for employees. That total was DHHS' highest contribution to the campaign since 2010.

The SECC, featuring 800 charities, is the only workplace giving program authorized for payroll deduction for most state employees. The campaign includes federations and independent charities. The SECC is a direct way to help those in need; sustain local, national, and international health, educational, environmental and social service organizations; and make a meaningful contribution to your community.

About the Kickoff Event

This event is always on a hot day, but it will be fun, engaging and offer ways to get involved! Wondering which charities you may consider donating to? Some charities will be on site to share why you should support them. New York Style Hot Dog Catering will be selling lunches. Get two hot dogs, chips and a drink for $6.

Come join in this fun kickoff event!
