Stakeholder Engagement Advisory Group

The purpose of the Stakeholder Engagement Advisory Group (SEAG) is to provide an informed, engaged forum for stakeholders to provide guidance, build consensus, and support the implementation of North Carolina’s Subminimum Wage to Competitive Integrated Employment grant award.

Membership Guidelines

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services shall ensure that appointees are a balanced and diverse representation of the population of North Carolina. Additionally:

  • Appointees must commit to participation for the duration of the five-year grant. 
  • Meetings will be held on a regularly scheduled basis (to be determined) at least four (4) times per year.  
  • Appointees will not be paid for their work but can be reimbursed for travel expenses for in-person meetings at state per diem rate.
  • With appropriate notification, DVRS is responsible for providing requested accommodations.
  • Members who miss three (3) consecutive meetings may be asked to vacate their seat. 
  • If a seat is vacated, the appointing body shall fill the vacancy for the remainder of the five-year term.
  • All appointments are subject to Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services approval.
  • Meeting minutes will be taken by the Administrative Specialist or designee and shared with members. 
  • Meetings and discussions are generally restricted to members, with the understanding that all information generated in the meeting will be made public. 
    • Nonmembers should share requested agenda items with member prior to a scheduled meeting. 
    • Comments from non-members will be addressed as time permits after regular agenda items have been addressed.
  • The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services may ask any committee member to vacate their seat for reasons that may include loss of membership in trade association, loss of employment with appointing body, unethical or unprofessional behavior deemed destructive to the purposes of the Stakeholder Engagement Advisory Group.
