April 11, 2018 — The 25th annual Bunny Drive at DHHS collected a record 2,817 cuddly stuffed animals to distribute to Veterans Administration hospitals, pediatric centers and nursing homes in the Triangle area.
There is always healthy competition to see which divisions within the Department donate the largest number of stuffed bunnies and other stuffed animals. This year, the Division of Medical Assistance came in first place with the donation of 813 stuffed animals. The Division of Public Health came in second with 586 donations.
This record number of donations demonstrates the care and compassion that employees show in the workplace, through community volunteerism and their donations.
