Inclusion Connects
Inclusion Connects is an NCDHHS program that connects people with IDD to more choices and more access to services and supports. The program is a collaboration among NCDHHS divisions, including the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, Substance Use Services and Medicaid, to provide resources for connecting people with I/DD to services and supports available to live, work and play in their chosen communities.
To enhance the IDD connection to their community, Inclusion Connects focuses on:
- Improving access and enhancing the housing array for people with IDD.
- Promoting access to services for people in need of services, including those on the Innovation Waiver Waitlist.
- Addressing the Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce shortage, including connecting DSPs with providers and people with IDD.
- Supporting competitive integrated employment through Inclusion Works.
Updates
- Inclusion Connects Quarterly Report posted on October 15, 2025.
- New addition to the Innovations Waiver Waitlist Dashboard, including a look into the services people on the waitlist are receiving.
- Share your Success Story - Inclusion Connects is excited to announce the release of three survey tools for people with IDD and providers who work with the IDD community.
