About Us
Each year we help thousands of people overcome disability-related barriers and achieve their goals for competitive employment and more independent living in their community. Based on the client’s needs, we create a customized plan of services and supports to help them achieve that goal. EIPD delivers services statewide through our network of more than 70 local offices. EIPD Program Services
Assistive Technology Services
The North Carolina Assistive Technology Program provides assistive technology services statewide to people of all ages and abilities. Assistive Technology promotes independence for people with disabilities through access to technology, providing device demonstrations, short-term device loans and reutilization of assistive technology via a network of AT Centers. Benefits Counseling Services
North Carolina’s Work Incentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program helps people with disabilities make informed decisions about work, benefits and the use of work incentives to achieve their employment goals. Employer Services
Whether you need access to a talented pool of candidates, disability awareness training, help understanding tax incentives and credits, or want to develop an internship program, our dedicated Business Relations Representatives team is eager to create unique strategies for businesses in communities across North Carolina. Independent Living Services
EIPD’s Independent Living (IL) program supports community living and independence for people with disabilities based on the belief that all people can live with dignity, make their own choices and participate fully in society. The IL program helps eligible individuals achieve their goals for more independent living and active participation in family and community life. Jobseeker Services
If your disability or chronic condition is a barrier to success on the job, we can help you chart your path to a career with a future in North Carolina.
