Gateway Integration

Prescribers, Dispensers, and other health care providers that use the NC CSRS can improve the efficiency of checking prescription histories through integrating the NC CSRS search function into their electronic clinical workflow. This is achieved using a service called PMP Gateway, and it’s available to all NC based providers as part of the prescription drug monitoring program managed by NCDHHS.

Integration Process

  1. Complete the Integration Request Form.  Be sure to identify the primary contact as the person who is completing the integration process for your organization and a contact for your software vendor.
Note: Only authorized decision makers should fill out the form.
  2. The Terms and Conditions Agreement will be emailed to the primary contact within 24-48 hours of receipt of the Request Form.  Review and electronically sign the Agreement. Note: A physical North Carolina practice location must be listed on the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Complete the Prescriber List and email it to NCCSRS.Gateway.Integration@dhhs.nc.gov.
  4. Complete the Gateway Licensee Questionnaire for requesting CSRS data from other approving states.
Note: The address listed on the questionnaire must be the exact same as the one listed on the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Wait for your request to be approved for integration by NCDHHS. You must complete all documents before NCDHHS will review your request.
  6. Once approved, Bamboo Health, the vendor, will contact you to discuss next steps.
