ORH Health Statistics and Data

What We Do

The Health Statistics and Data Analytics Team at the Office of Rural Health (ORH) strives to assist ORH programs with using data in ways that help improve monitoring and evaluation efforts. The data of study include performance measures, participation, technical assistance, economic impact, mapping and other descriptive statistics.

Performance Measures

ORH uses performance measures of Body Mass Index, diabetes, hypertension and tobacco cessation in addition to the many other variables to evaluate the effectiveness of its programs. Data can be used to gauge population health, determine if goals are met, compare progress with other state and national averages and see where improvements can be made.
