FY 2024 Record Renewal for Sponsoring Organizations.
Description: This mandatory training for Sponsoring Organizations will walk through how to complete the annual Record Renewal in NC CACFP CONNECTS. We will review each section of the Institution Record which includes the Management Plan and Budget, and we will walk through how to complete all the required documents. We will provide a FY 2024 Guide for Record Renewal and a certificate of completion. At least one authorized individual from every participating institution must complete this training. Completion of this training provides 4.5 DCDEE credits.

NC CACFP Civil Rights
Target Audience

Directors, owners, administrators, and staff of all types of participating institutions

Description

This Civil Rights training is a yearly training requirement for participating CACFP institutions and their facilities. The goal of this training is to describe the Civil Rights procedures and requirements that apply to both the State agency and local agencies operating the Child and Adult Care Food Program as described in the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Instruction 113-1 document.

Objectives

At the end of these trainings, participants will be able to:

Description

Adult Income Eligibility Application Training

Target Audience: This is an introductory training for staff who are responsible for CACFP record-keeping for Adult Day Care Centers. 

Description: In this course, you will learn about the Adult Income Eligibility application requirements, view a sample IEA, and receive tips on how to correctly maintain eligibility documentation. You will also be taken through several scenarios to help you complete the State agency sample IEA successfully.

Infant and Child Income Eligibility Application Training

TARGET AUDIENCE: Directors, owners, administrators, and recordkeepers of all types of participating institutions. 

DESCRIPTION: This is an introductory training for staff who are responsible for CACFP recordkeeping. In this course, participants will learn about the Infant and Child Income Eligibility Application (IEA) requirements, view a sample IEA, and receive tips on how to correctly maintain eligibility documentation. The course also includes several practice scenarios to help participants complete the State agency sample IEA successfully.

OBJECTIVES: 
At the end of this training, participants will be able to: 

  • Identify the requirements for collecting and maintaining eligibility applications
  • Describe how to accurately report free/reduced/denied numbers
  • Assess eligibility applications for accuracy
  • Identify policy memos regarding classification of eligibility applications

Program Operators offering meals through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) play a critical role in supporting the health and wellness of children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities through the provision of nutritious foods. Reimbursement for meals is computed by claiming percentages and meal count by type such as breakfast, lunch, supper, or snacks. This training is designed to give you a brief overview of the importance of accurate attendance and meal count records and provide access to tools.
