Open Access / Walk-In Clinics offer same-day support for mental health or substance use needs. Individuals can walk in during clinic hours, receive an assessment, and be connected to the appropriate level of care. 

When to use an Open Access/Walk-In Clinic:

  • You feel anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or not like yourself.
  • Your mental health symptoms are getting worse.
  • You want to start counseling or talk to someone for the first time.
  • You have questions about your mental health medication.
  • You need help with alcohol or drug use.
  • You need support right away.

What to Know About Open Access/ Walk-In Clinics

  • Open Access/walk-in clinics help with urgent but non-emergency mental health needs. If you are in immediate danger or having thoughts of harming yourself or others, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
  • Visits are private and confidential.
  • No appointment needed. Wait times may vary.  
  • Bring your ID, insurance card (if you have one) and the medications you’re taking.
  • You do not need insurance. If you have insurance, the facility will take that information for billing. If you don’t have insurance, they’ll work with you on payment options. You can call to ask how much a visit will cost.
  • Don't speak English? Ask for an interpreter. Most centers have interpreters or phone or video options.
