NC Peer Warmline: 1-855-PEERS-NC
If this is a life-threatening emergency, call 911 and ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Officer. They have special training.
The NC Peer Warmline (1-855-PEERS-NC) is a free, private phone number you can call day or night to talk with someone who understands. You’ll be connected to someone who has personal experiences with mental health or substance use disorders. You can call any time you're feeling sad, stressed, lonely or just need to talk. You don't need to be in crisis to call.

What to Expect
When you call, you'll hear the friendly voice of a peer support specialist. You can talk for up to 40 minutes about anything—no topic too big or too small—and you can call as often as you want.
You are in control of what you say, you decide how much to share.
Your call is private and confidential. The warmline does not collect personal information or perform assessments. They will not call the police, unless someone's life is in danger.
The Peer Warmline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (English only). Call 1-855-PEERS-NC (1-855-733-7762).
