The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has been transitioning the collection of hospital data from a manual system to an automated one. As part of ongoing quality control measures, NCDHHS identified an error in our hospitalization data for the Metrolina Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (MHPC) for July 25 through July 31. This data has been corrected. In addition, the COVID-19 Data Dashboard includes information showing how the numbers have been updated: https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard/hospitalizations.
