About the Office of People, Culture and Belonging

The Office of People, Culture and Belonging aims to address Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the NCDHHS workplace and beyond. Workforce DEI requires that everyone from all backgrounds and categories has a fair opportunity to reach their full potential at work and achieve successful outcomes. NCDHHS believes that diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization are essential to our organizational sustainability and to the successful implementation of our mission. A diverse workforce brings varied perspectives on how to engage with our clients and partners, design effective programs and confront business challenges to achieve success.

DEI and the Health Equity Portfolio Strategic Plan: The Health Equity Portfolio has worked to identify four strategic areas to focus their efforts on in 2023 – Strategy, Operational Excellence and Daily Operations, Community and Partner Engagement, and HE and DEI Consultation and Technical Assistance.
