Radon Community Health Assessment Toolkit

The NC Radon Program has created a Community Health Assessment Toolkit to assist local health departments with including radon testing data in their assessments and plans. The toolkit includes guidance, data sources, state plans and social media videos and images that local governments can use on their channels to inform the public about radon and how to test for it.

The North Carolina Data Portal provides community health assessment teams and community health implementation plan teams with the necessary data to determine the number of radon tests conducted over the past years in each county. 
The North Carolina Environmental and Public Health Tracking Network provides county health departments and community health assessment teams with radon testing data as well as other data such as incidence of lung cancer in each county.

Most recent data is available on the NC Data Portal and the NC Environmental Health Tracking Network dashboard.
